Widowing Well with Hope
Empowering Widows to Live Their Best Lives
My husband Tim and I were married 31 days shy of our 31st wedding anniversary. Together we were blessed to have 2 children, our daughter Ashley and our son Andrew and their 2 amazing spouses. We were also blessed to have 5 grandchildren before Tim passed away, and our 6th and final grandchild was born 1 month to the day of his passing.

Tim was 56, I was 49 and neither of us were prepared for what that particular Monday would bring. Never in our wildest imagination did we imagine that when we left for work that morning, it would be our last.

Late on the evening of July 9th, 2018, I found my husband Tim unresponsive from a widow maker heart attack. Our family spent the next 3 days in the cardiac ICU until he was removed from total life support on July 12th. In a moment, as I held Tim’s hand, he met Jesus and the trajectory of my life was changed forever.
As I’ve walked the road of loss & grief for the past 5 years, I continue to stay tethered to Jesus; and with each step I’ve taken, he continues to be my HOPE & JOY. Proverbs 9:11 says, “wisdom will multiply your days, and add years to your life’, and I continue to see the Lord redeems the years of death, sorrow and tears, and he’s replacing them with tears of HOPE & JOY.
